F**ked up life.
POSTED ON Tuesday, November 20, 2012 AT 7:14 AM \\
In a super down mood since last night. I HATE it when my plans get disrupted because of work. I know what a lot of you will say - that this is life. It's unfair so just suck it up. WHATEVER. Sometimes I read other people's blogs and snigger when they complain about how tough their life is, yet I'm doing exactly the same thing now...whining about how unhappy I am and how difficult my life is.:(

Hopefully I'll feel better when I'm back. I'm honestly sick of the irregular hours and not having enough rest because I'm trying to juggle so many things. The things I use to enjoy doing have become a chore including yoga. I'm usually tired and find it hard to concentrate. *sigh* I miss the carefree days. I miss freedom. I miss being able to do nothing and I guess this is the selfish brat in me talking now. K thanks bye.

Updates!

Neglected this space for waayyy too long again-_-". I miss the days when I didn't have to work and I had so much energy for everything else. Now I'm always so lethargic and for what? Just to earn more $$ and pay for my house. I hate SG sometimes. Everything is so expensive and it's so hot and crowded. There are times when I thought of living on a boat and harvesting tree bark for a living. LOL.

Anyway, pictures from my short trip to Tokyo.

I always go crazy at this shop called Matsumoto-Kiyoshi when I'm there cuz their selection of beauty products is endless...you can find all sorts of brands there, from the budget friendly ones like Kate, Integrate and Majorlica to high end ones like Aube and Shiseido. Japan rocks! I was quite good this time though, only bought a few items including this EGF face mask (40 pieces in one bag wtf!) and the Dollywink eyeliner because I couldn't resist the super cute packaging. I'm such a sucker...

I bought tons of snacks...spent like about $100 just on snacks alone. Unfortunately I was feeling really tired so I ended my shopping early and went back to the hotel to rest after my tonkatsu lunch. Rice and miso soup refillable plus ice tea on the house! It was so yummy too. I'm so going back to Tokyo for a real vacation next time.

The date for my solemnization has been set and it was time for X and I to go shop for our wedding bands. Thank god I didn't leave it to the last minute cuz our rings had to be customized, my ring size is super small lol.

I'm quite happy with getting something simple. After all I don't like fuss and hassle and to me, nothing else really quite matters because you can have the most outrageous proposal at the top of Eiffel Tower, the most lavish of all wedding dinners, the fanciest wedding dress from Vera Wang or the biggest solitaire diamond ring on your finger, but it's just fluff if the two of you aren't on the same page. I've seen marriages come and go, and I went through heartbreak myself so all I want is to find someone who's willing to embrace me, flaws and all. To hell with all the bullshit about throwing a big wedding bash and wearing a fancy dress. BAH.

Met up with Crystal as well for a brief lunch whilst we chatted (or bitched) about life and random stuff. We don't always take pictures but here's one that she sent to me.

We had lunch at Kungfu Paradise and she introduced me to the french toast with peanut butter and maple syrup. The toast was good but food was disappointing. I promptly went back there the next day and tried the toast with ice-cream.

I love their french toast with ice-cream! It was soooo good. Definitely going back just to fix my craving for this.

Many good things have happened to me recently, and I'm really thankful. X came back from Munich with gifts for me.

In case you're wondering, it's a wallet in the Bottega box and that's the Chanel Reissue bag. It was really unnecessary for X to get me a new wallet because my current one is only like 6 months old which was also a gift from him. I feel so bad that X is always buying me gifts and I know that he is spoiling me. I love the bag even though it's a tad small. It goes with every single outfit I swear!

My parents bought a 'wedding' gift for me too.

The watch looks really gorgeous in real life! This pic doesn't really do it justice. I've been saying that I wanted a black/metal watch for a while now and this is just perfect.

It's almost the end of 2012 now, and this year has been good to me most the time. No major upheavals both personally and professionally, and I hope to end this year on a high and start next year with a big bang! *fingers crossed*

Before I finish, here are some obligatory camwhore shots!

Cya next time ta!

The only thing against you is YOURSELF.

Had a very simple birthday last week. X came over and we lazed the day away cuz I  had to fly off for work that very night.

"If I could have just one birthday wish, it would be to spend more time with my loved ones."
Got this huge ass bruise during work. *sigh* Wondering how long it's gonna take for this to heal and meanwhile, I'm looking for stuff to wear that will cover it. The problem is, I hate wearing pants and jeans and maxi dresses=/.
Random camwhore picture. I think I look very young here haha!
There was a 15% discount for all purchases at the 'Warehouse' store in London, and these are regrettably my impulse buys.

Was complaining to the bf that my hair sticks out on the right side now after the haircut. It happens when my hair is sliced too thinly. The hairstylist told me to use a straightening iron but I am far too lazy for that. Hence I'm experimenting with tying my hair up.I know X likes me better with my hair up anyway!

FYI: I have BIG news. Finally set a date for our solemnization in January next year. I just wanna get the formalities over and done with and I guess I'm just very different from other brides that way. No hassle over what wedding gown to choose, what the bridesmaids should wear, which hotel to host a banquet, none of that for me thank you! It will be an extremely low-key and private affair and I guess I'm more focused on reality. Call me a wet blanket or a pessimist, but the truth is - marriage does not guarantee happiness. I am aware that X and I have had a lot of issues all along and who knows what will happen even after we say those vows? Ultimately I just want to prepare X for the reality that life will not be a walk in the park or a bed of roses. I want him to know what he's getting into.

Deep down, I guess I'm just afraid that things may not work out and that he will regret it.

*sigh*

I guess my biggest problem is MYSELF.

To Bangkok with love.

This whole week I've been so happy because X and I spent so much time together! We went to Bangkok where I did A LOT of shopping and then we still had 2 more days of leave together after coming back to Singapore. There will be a lot of photospam of food, shopping, camwhoring and ootds so bear with me k?

First camwhore pic at the airport transit area after check-in. Puffy eyes due to very little sleep the night before.
We had breakfast at Coffee Bean and shared the eggs benedict.
#ootd pic taken at the toilet haha!
X reads this and even subscribes to it. It's kind of a cheem read and quite expensive, more than S$10 I think?
Bothering the bf whilst on the bus that was fetching us to our hotel! As usual, couldn't get him to take a photo with me.

Som Tam Nua at Siam Square night market.  Pretty nice food and the queue was really long when we got there!
My first buy at Platinum Mall, I feel like Cinderella when I wear them LOL.
This is what the bf does everyday whilst I'm out shopping. I see many non-local girls dragging their bfs along when shopping, but I don't like to do that...their bfs' faces always look very pitiful and 'xianzz'. So I prefer to let him sleep!
Pink bralet and polka dot shorts from BKK. They were like less than S$10 each!
This shop has lots and lots of cute cartoon stuff. X ended up buying quite a lot of Ben10 stuff for his nephew.
Eating Swensens in BKK is so cheap, only S$4plus for a sundae!
Jumping onto the aztec trend bandwagon. Also bought an aztec print skirt that I really like. Will make an #ootd pic on Instagram when I wear it.

Showing off my new #armswag!
Random #ootd shot.

We ate at the roadside stall on the 2nd night. Food was pretty good but rather pricy for roadside food. I think they kinda inflated the prices cuz of the influx of tourists in that area.

We walked over to Siam Paragon after dinner to 'After you' cafe for dessert. Recommended by a Thai colleague of mine and it was REALLY crowded when we got there. Thankfully we didn't really have to wait long for our table!

Must try: Shibuya honey toast and chocolate lava cake. I like that they are generous with the portion of ice-cream. The toast was delicious but the chocolate lava cake was slightly bitter for me.
Last day in BKK so I really shopped like mad. It's like I didn't really stop to consider like I normally would because my mind was telling me 'it's now or never'. So I see, I like, I just buy buy buy!!!
Obsession with black shoes. Loving the black studded ones on the extreme left.

Wanted to try T&K seafood at Chinatown but taxi driver claimed it was closed and sent us on a joyride to this other place 'Kuang Seafood'. Fortunately his recommendation was pretty good, there was wifi in the restaurant so I checked for reviews. FYI: Stir-fried morning glory is a staple in BKK so do try it there. It's actually 'kang kong' and I love kang kong anyway so every meal I would be like "I wanna eat morning glory I wanna eat morning glory!"
Went to this rather atas massage/spa place. Quite expensive compared to those neighborhood ones I normally go to but X is a creature of comfort who prefers to pay more for abit of luxury so I just went along. He was the one paying anyway haha... I have to admit that the masseuse was very skilful, she 'cracked' my stiff backbone before I could put up any resistance and it felt SHIOK. LOL.

Went to check out the famous Pratunam chicken rice on the last day before our flight. It was tasty but definitely nowhere as good as Singapore's. The chilli dip is different too.
Some shopping at the BKK airport. X bought the Chanel lipstick and mascara for me. Thanks love!

Last taste of thai food before we head back to SG. *sniffs* Gonna miss BKK even though I had a stomach upset most of the time. I love spicy thai food even though my stomach cannot really take it. Every meal I would pester X and say "I want to drink tom yum soup!" and by the second day my stomachache was really  bad. I didn't dare to buy their medication though so I just stopped eating anything spicy. *sigh* Will definitely like to go back there again, but we'll see. To be fair to X I will probably let him pick the next choice of vacation destination.

When we got back to SG I was craving dim sum so we went to Big Bosses at Vivocity. This is my favorite dish there. It's deep fried mango prawn roll and it's SO crispy! Really yummy.

 Sorry for the blurry shot.
Having a drink at ToastBox and here's X dodging my camera as usual=P
Headed back to Tampines for dinner to celebrate my youngest brother's b'day and when we passed Dip Drops they had a 20% discount on everything between 7-9pm. Couldn't resist and I ended up with 2 tops and a cute pair of shorts. So terrible right? I just came back from BKK with over 30 tops and here I am shopping again-_-". The collared top is from Topshop, X bought it for me cuz he said it was nice=) Thanks again love!
Had all-day brekkie at Mooshi Bakes on Saturday before catching 'Premium Rush' at Katong 112. Truffle oil scrambled eggs with ciabatta toast and sausages!
 #ootd inside the toilet again.
Bf is a geek and wants to buy a new laptop even though his current Macbook is only a year old.
X took this pic for me. I shall be training him to take better #ootd pictures for me=).

Had my favorite mushroom soup at Baci after the movie. They have one of the best mushroom soup in my opinion. And look at the coffee art on my latte. SO CUTE. As I was stirring my coffee I said "bye kitty cat..." and X said sternly "it's a rabbit lah!". Wahaha. Bimbo moment.

And finally had my long overdue haircut today! Did a treatment for my prone to tangles hair as well and it's so much lighter and healthier now=). I don't have any hair sponsors but if you are interested to know where I do my hair just leave a comment and I'll reply. That concludes the end of this super lengthy post. Goodnite!
