Decided to blog whilst I'm 'masking' my face...I'm always concerned about my skin not being hydrated enough especially with all the traveling I do. I'll be setting off tomorrow for a short vacation with X! Not so much excited because I've been to Taipei many times, but happy to be spending time with him and getting a well-deserved break for myself=)

For the curious, I'm currently using this brand of facial masks:

'Leaders Insolution' from Korea. Heard some good reviews about it from friends so X bought me 2 boxes. I have the Mela-tox one(above) for whitening and the Aquaringer for hydrating purposes. These retail at Watsons for $3-$3.50 per pc.

Random pictures.

Gift from X. I have a habit of losing my earphones cuz I travel around a lot. This is my third one from him and I think there won't be a fourth if I lose this one more time. X is getting kinda annoyed haha.
Bio-Oil. I use this on my body before I sleep to keep my skin from drying out in air-conditioned rooms. It's supposed to help with scars and stretch marks too! Let you guys know if it works;p
 Outfit from BrandyMelville. SUPER LOVE.

That picture actually shows how much stuff I've packed for my 5D4N trip. The rest will be filled by my shopping in Taipei haha! I also like to pack my toiletries in those clear ziploc bags...I can see what I need easily and there's also no need to worry about spillage. I just throw the bag away and get a new ziploc plastic bag if that happens. I'm quite a fuss-free traveler. I usually pack a pair of jeans, some tank tops and maybe a dress and I'm good to go. Shall share more on my thoughts/experiences on traveling next time.

Til then, goodnight!

Decided it was time for change.

Am aware I haven't been blogging for a long time but writing and sharing will always be my first love. I will always come back here when I feel like penning down random thoughts or just to share pictures of my life!;)

Biggest event so far would be getting my own place with X. Below are some photos of the showflat. Nice huh? I'm really excited about getting our 'little heaven' together in 2 years time, but also a little sad about potentially leaving the home which I've shared with my own family for so many years.

Having to finance our own place means tightening our belts a little. Both me & X have set up a joint account and are putting in $$ which will then be used for renovations, furniture and repaying our monthly bank loans. *Phew* Getting your own place is hard work I kid you not. But X was certainly sweet enough to do all the paperwork and keeping in touch with the agents, lawyers etc. I did the minimum really, just showed up to look at the houses and sign my name on the contracts.

More random pictures.

Did a lot of mad shopping recently and my recent obsessions include vintage looking accessories(check out my watch!), high waisted shorts/skirts, bralets, and wedges. I'm normally a comfy flats kinda girl but I'm trying!!! Wedges are a nice alternative to heels and I just bought a black pair from Payless. Check out my previous entry to see it. Payless shoes are pretty and affordable!

I also tried my hand at deconstructing a new outfit. My top originally had a collar which i found irritating so I decided to snip it off. Ta-dah!

Before and After! Elaine Yuki looks fabulous huh?Anyway I'm really glad with the 'new' top I created, and also thanks to mummy for sewing it up=)

That's all for today. Look forward to my entry k? Soon I promise!

On the road...

Whoa! Guess it's been soooooo long since I last blogged that I didn't even know that Blogger has had a change of format/layout. Sorry I was on such a long hiatus, but time is so limited and there are always so many other things to do...:/

Am on leave these few days, and I'm damn excited cuz I'll  be doing my LASIK tomorrow! Had been planning on it for quite some time now, esp. after seeing how X had been doing so well after he had his LASIK done couple of years back. My myopia's like 1000 degree/eye so I'm blind as a bat w/o my specs and contact lens. I'll be real happy to be rid of them at last and to saying hello to freedom!=)

Camwhored quite abit with  my nerdy glasses on, since these will be my last few days wearing them ever:

I bought the hairband after some hesitation, cuz you know, it just seems a lil 'act cute'. but I think it looks okay so long as I keep the 'ears' tucked under, instead of wearing them in a ribbon.

Also went on a shopping spree the day I bought the hairband:

Love this Vivi-inspired peep-shoulder shirt! Was looking to deviate from my usual plain style of dressing so I decided to buy it. Haven't worn it yet tho...but I'm going to soon...I promise.

Polka-dot bustier top in navy blue. Had been looking for something like this for a long time and this is a bitch to wear since it doesn't come with a side zip & all. But it looks very pretty, plus I'm a sucker for polka dots haha.
Bought a navy blue skirt as well. I'm getting to like the color as it's less severe/formal compared to black. This one has a unique design which I like!

Skorts. Not too sure if I'd be wearing them cuz they didn't look as good as I thought. hmm.

Heh. I love shoes! I think it's obvious I'm not a high heels type of gal. X doesn't really fancy anything leopard print so I haven't worn those yet. The other one's pretty comfy tho, so much better than my Pedro ballet flats that cost me $70, yet gave my feet horrible blisters.

My new outfits from 'Lalu'. I had a staycation with X @ Gallery Hotel and we were just walking around inside Liang Court when I came across this shop.  The outfit in the first picture was on the mannequin and I just had to buy it...inner top with crochet lace + striped tank top + cardigan + shorts = $$$.

The only difference was the color of the shorts - mannequin had on a pair of green shorts but I decided to get it in a safer shade of brown so that I could mix & match more easily with other clothes. Also bought a loose lacy black top (2nd pic), the dress and the striped tank with an outer chiffon layer. I could have bought even more cuz they had so much pretty stuff, but I really didn't wanna go overboard.
I love their membership card. So pretty and vintage looking!

Last but not least, tank top + shorts from Pull & Bear, and flats from Zara.

Gonna curb my spending next month, esp. since my LASIK will burn a big hole in my pocket. 4.7k to be exact and that doesn't even include a second followup that will come afterwards. But whatever it is, I just pray that the procedure will go smoothly without any hiccups tmr. Am kinda nervous but thankfully X will be there with me. I also hope my recovery will be fast...cuz I'll  be going back to work on Sunday=/

*fingers crossed*

More updates as soon as I can! Goodnite.
